Palumba Wrapped: Empowering Young Changemakers

13 January 2026

We are currently deploying our initiative, “Palumba Wrapped: Empowering Young Changemakers”. This project builds on the engagement we saw during the European Parliament elections, where the Palumba app was used by 170,000 young people across the EU to navigate their voting choices. Instead of letting that activity pass, we are now utilizing the data generated (comprising over 5 million interactions on key European topics) to better understand the actual voting behavior and political preferences of our generation.

Our team is actively analyzing this anonymous data to identify the priority issues for Gen Z. We are looking into correlations that are frequently overlooked in standard analysis, such as how views on the climate crisis or the just transition influence political participation, as well as examining gender differences in voting patterns. The objective is to produce a report that provides a clear picture of youth priorities, serving as a resource to help policymakers and young voters reconnect.

We are sharing these findings through the digital channels where we are most active, translating the data into accessible social media content rather than limiting it to specialized journals. Beyond simply publishing a report, we are using these insights to refine the Palumba app and its statements for upcoming national and European elections. By understanding what drives engagement today, we are working to foster consistent democratic participation for the future.

In partnership with the European Cultural Foundation.
